“The package has been confiscated and investigation is in process for the owner,” South Sulawesi police spokesman Sr.Com. Dicky Sondani said here on Saturday.
Dicky said an airport security officer Andy Yusuf saw suspicious parcel when it went through the cargo Xray examination.
Andy Yusuf asked an office of the shipment service company PT Jalur Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) Agus to open the parcel in front of other airport security officers.
The officers found a shoe containing two packs of methamphetamine in the parcel addressed to a Hj Ania at Jalan Diponegoro Kelurahan Tuoy, district of Konawe, in the province of Southeast Sulawesi.
There was however, no data about the sender of the parcel and the security authorities were still investigating who brought the parcel to the airport.
Meanwhile, report from Pontianak, West Kalimantan said the Singkawang police arrested an armed drug suspect at the Villa Permata Hijau complex in the sub-district of Singkawang Selatan.
The suspect identified as RM alias LM was arrested on Wednesday afternoon, head of the Singkawang police drug unit first inspector Iwan Gunawan said on Friday.
The suspect was picked up from his house in the Villa Permata Hijau complex.
The police searched his house and found ecstasy pills and a scale and a Revolver with three bullets.
Now the suspects was in the Singkawang police detention house for further investigations.
Report from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan said the Murung Pudak police of the district of Tabalong have arrested two drug suspects.
Police confiscated methamphetamine from the suspects when they were about to sell the drug.
Tabalong police chief Adj. Sr.Com Hardiono said one of the suspect identified as HY (31) was arrested on information from a community members.
Investigation of HY led to the arrest of his accomplice MS (23) at Taman Expo Tanjung in the district of Tabalong.
